Privacy & Safety Policies

Last updated: September 6, 2026

California pre-launch notice: Ultra Rideshare is available for development and testing. Transportation services are not yet offered to the public. California service will begin only after all required governmental and regulatory approvals are obtained. Thank you for your patience and support.

Ultra Rideshare collects and uses only information reasonably necessary to provide rides, safety, communication, account support, and legal compliance. We do not use personal information for third-party advertising and do not sell personal information.

Information we collect

Account and contact details; pickup, destination, ride, payment-status, and support records; messages and voice messages you choose to send; device and diagnostic information; and precise driver location while online or during ride operations. Rider location is used for pickup, routing, safety, and live ride features when permission is granted.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate accounts, match and complete rides, calculate routes and fares, provide live location and communications, prevent fraud, investigate safety incidents, support users, maintain records, and comply with law.

Account and driver checks

Ultra Rideshare uses account information to operate and protect the service. Driver documents and safety eligibility are reviewed through the driver application and compliance process. Rider discount categories are self-declared and are used to apply the requested fare discount.

Cookies and local storage

We use session cookies and local storage required for login, security, preferences, and core service operation. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Mapping, notification, hosting, or payment providers may process limited data needed to deliver their services under their own policies.

Driver and administrator payouts

Bank account and routing details for ACH payouts are entered directly in our payment provider’s hosted onboarding service. Ultra Rideshare does not collect or store the complete bank account or routing number. We retain only the provider account identifier, verification and payout status, bank name, country, currency, and the last four digits needed to identify the connected payout account.

Sharing and retention

Information is shared only with riders, drivers, administrators, and service providers as needed to operate and protect the service, or when legally required. Ultra Rideshare records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for operations, safety, disputes, accounting, and legal obligations. Previously submitted records remain subject to applicable retention and deletion rules. Contact Ultra Rideshare about records held for your account.

California privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, California residents may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information and may exercise privacy rights without discriminatory treatment. Ultra Rideshare does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may request account and personal-data deletion online.

Your choices

You can control location and notification permissions in device settings. Necessary session storage is required for signed-in service operation.

Safety and conduct policy

Zero tolerance: Ultra Rideshare does not tolerate drug or alcohol use by drivers while providing transportation service. Drivers, riders, administrators, and other platform participants may not use, possess, carry, distribute, or be under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, recreational drugs, or any other impairing substance while driving or participating in a ride. Harassment, discrimination, threats, violence, sexual misconduct, weapons carried contrary to law, dangerous driving, fraud, and retaliation are prohibited.

If a rider reasonably suspects that a driver is under the influence, ask the driver to stop the ride immediately, exit the vehicle as soon as it is safe, call 911 to report the suspected impaired driver, and file a zero-tolerance complaint with Ultra Rideshare. File by using the ride's in-app safety or receipt action, calling 415-728-2487, or emailing support@ultrarideshare.com. Filing this complaint promptly suspends the driver from service pending investigation.

The California Public Utilities Commission Passenger Section may also be contacted at 1-800-894-9444 or CIU_intake@cpuc.ca.gov. See the dedicated zero-tolerance reporting page.

Reporting and enforcement

Safety concerns may be documented through Ultra Rideshare support and incident tools. Depending on severity, Ultra Rideshare may pause a ride, restrict or suspend an account, preserve relevant records, investigate, contact emergency services or regulators, and permanently remove a participant. Zero-tolerance complaint records and related actions are retained for regulatory reporting and investigation.

Service animals

Drivers must accept riders traveling with service animals as required by law. A driver may not deny or cancel a ride, charge an extra fee, or discriminate because of a service animal. Drivers must not demand certification or require the animal to wear special identification. Safety concerns may be handled only within the narrow exceptions permitted by applicable law.

Lost and found

Riders report lost items from the completed ride record. An Ultra Rideshare administrator mediates the report and contacts the driver; direct rider-driver communication is not restored. Administrators document the outcome, and false, abusive, or harassing reports may lead to account restrictions.

Video-call safety

When motion is detected for a participating driver or administrator, video is converted to audio for both parties. Video becomes available automatically after a recent location sample confirms the vehicle is stationary; no manual parked declaration is used.
